In 2011, an escalating rock band will have released a new album
called Casino Heart, opened for Blink 182 and My Chemical Romance,
and been reviewed in numerous magazines. They will and found a home
on major Midwest radio stations and put on a benefit concert called
Rock-It-To-A-Cure to raise funds for JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes
Research Foundation). This band is Réaul, out of Indianapolis, and
is made up of Rick Connell (vocals), Nate Metzler (drums), Michael
Neeley (bass), and Dave Kriebel (guitar).
Réaul is turning heads and attracting press with their latest
five song album, Casino Heart. The tracks found on Casino Heart are
best defined as intelligent pop rock. Lyrics are deep and often
engage metaphors in unique ways to describe relationships and life.
Catchy hooks and strong melodies paired with complementing
instrumentation will keep this album playing over and over again.
Front man Rick Connell explains, "We literally spent over a year of
literal blood, sweat, and tears writing and recording our new album
and there is a lot of anticipation from us and our fans for this
release." Casino Heart was released May 24, 2011 and can be found
on iTunes and Amazon.
JDRF became a strong passion for Réaul through the family of one
of Nate Metzler's drum students named Ian McCollum. Ian happened to
be living as a Type-I Diabetic. His family took the time over a
dinner to help Réaul understand the struggles Ian faces. This
pivotal moment was the start of Réaul's support of JDRF. Together
they planned an annual JDRF benefit event in Indianapolis called
Rock-It-To-A-Cure. In 2011, this event takes place on November 5th
at the Old National Centre's Egyptian Room in Indianapolis.
2011 is only the beginning of what is to come for this
exceptional band out of Indianapolis. Réaul has begun their next
music project and is preparing for two Rock-It-To-A-Cure events in
2012. Follow this band on social media and their website to find
out what they are doing next to produce new great music and support
JDRF.
